Metabo tool batteries of any series fit Metabo cordless tools of the same voltage. For example, an 18V tool can use an 18V LiHD series battery or 18V Li-Power series battery. LiHD series batteries are more compact and provide more power than Li-Power series batteries, so they’re used for more demanding applications such as grinding, sawing, and impact drilling and driving. Metabo batteries can also power compatible tools from other manufacturers using the same battery technology as part of the Cordless Alliance System (CAS). Batteries of the same voltage and series may be available in different amp-hour (Ah) ratings. Batteries with higher Ah ratings have greater power storage capacity but are heavier than those with lower Ah ratings.
